Official Rules:
The rules have to be followed, no exceptions will be made!
1. Conflict Resolution
Resolve your own conflicts. Do it quickly and with compassion for the other user. You do not want the staff to have to step in and resolve them for you. You do not want to rant and rail about how someone did something to you. If a user violates the rules simply report this to staff and we’ll handle it. Additional profanity or conflict on your part is not necessary.
2. Hacks exploits and otherwise abusing minecraft mechanics that do not work as intended is bannable, often resulting in a permban. If you see a player use hacks or cheats do not post about or reveal it to the public. Contact an admin or another high rank as quickly as possible and provide proof. Attacking people without proof may result in a mute or ban especially if it is connected to rule 1. If you manage to find an exploit on the server you must report this to an admin or consequences will follow.
3. No use of offensive words that may hurt others feelings or provoke them for example religion, choice of life stile or apperance.
4. No irresponsible, disturbing, disrespectful or offensive behavior on the server. This covers things such as trolling, name calling, griefing in certain cases or otherwise generally abusive behavior.
5. No Spam In Chat
Do not abuse any of the chat rooms. This means no spamming, using colors or excessive caps lock or shift chat. Trade chat is only for Trade chat, personal conversations are only meant to take place in private or in alliance chat. Do not make excessive use of the global chat.

7. Chat Behavior
Profanity is tolerated, abuse or harrassment of other players is not. If you talk about another user or their family, expect your stay to be short. Topics on the server are free-ranging but be mindful of your audience and be aware of requests to stop. Do not spam the channel. Spammers are banned without warning, celebration or mourning. Keep caps use to a minimum. Global chat has a LOT of people in it most of the time and you SAYING THINGS LIKE THIS is more likely to irritate others than to get your point across.
8. Common sense is our main driving factor in the rules. If you are unsure whether something is against the rules ask a team member. When an admin tells you to do something or not to do something, don't argue with them over it. Don’t tell an admin what to do or how to punish people. Backseat Moderating is not appreciated. If you feel mistreated by any of the rules or admins take it to the forums or the higher up people. We ask you to keep bad language to a minimum, and we don’t want to see any erotic roleplay. Selling or buying female or male specific slaves in trade is not allowed.
9. If someone is talking shit behind your back or somebody else's back you should report it to an admin and we will take care of
the problem.
10. If you have a problem in shop that needs to be fixed. Please tell an admin and we will fix the problem as soon as we can.
11. No Whining
No Whining about that you lost some stuff or anything else. It is factions shit happens.
12. Griefing for the intent of griefing is not allowed. You are allowed to steal iron, gold and diamond blocks, and you are allowed to “break” a wall to gain entry. You may also harvest resources from wilderness, but you are expected to be reasonable. An admin has the final call on whether a grief is actually a grief, or RP destruction. Killing animals is not considered griefing.
13. Do not abuse the factions plugin to annoy, troll or otherwise ruin the game for other people. Our household rule is that you must settle a minimum of 16 chunks away from other factions. You may also not claim an area that is still being actively used. You can see if an area is active by doing /seen or contacting the owner of an area to see if they are still active.
14. Be patient and friendly with admins. Admins spend their free time to help you and the server and are often very busy. Disrespecting and wasting admins time is a bannable offence and so is arguing with an admin over the rules. If you have a problem with the rules, take it to the forum.
15. Advertising servers, websites or anything unrelated to CitoMC for personal gain or the gain of others is a bannable offence. Links to anything on the internet is not allowed in global chat, only admins may post links through broadcast.
Creative World Rules
1. No Griefing.
Griefing, as used here, is the act of placing blocks, removing blocks, adding water or lava, or starting fires, intentionally or unintentionally causing grief among the other users of the server. This means that breaking a glass block in a window and walking in is in fact griefing. Yes, you may be banned for this. “Lol, it was just one block!” is not an excuse.
2. PVP
PVP is not allowed except in defense of your life, in POSTED areas for PVP use, or during server events. In the absence of available staff, PVP may be used to defend your property from griefers or thieves. PVP may also occur between two users who have verbally discussed and agreed to fight. Be mindful of accidents and be sure to return all items to any user who is killed during the course of PVP.
4. No Stealing.
Stealing consists of taking items or blocks from another person or another person’s property. This includes items dropped during accidental deaths or defensive PVP encounters.
5. No TNT.
TNT is like griefing thats why you cant use it on this server (TNT=Ban) We Will Ban You If You Use TNT.
6. No 1x1 Towers
No Building straight up we will give you a warning if you do that and if you do that again we will ban you. And if you do that you got to take it away at the moment.
10. Plz No Dirt Houses.
Dont make any Dirt houses plz, if an admin or somone else sees you doing a dirt house they will give you a warning but if you do one more the admins will kick you for some time so plz dont make dirt houses.
11. No Trespassing.
All areas of the server which are marked by indications of habitation are considered the property of the builder. This includes houses, all areas within a fence or wall and areas which are bounded by obvious markers such as one-block walls or three-block pillars. “I was just exploring!” is not a defense if you are caught wandering around in other people’s areas without permission. Unless CLEARLY marked such as “Anyone welcome” or “Come on in” every area is “No Trespassing.”
